Shuping Deng, who previously worked as a cashier, joined Volvo CE Shanghai plant in February 2018. In the logistics department, it was not a rigid requirement to have a forklift driving license for her. However, she found herself constantly yearning to try it whenever she saw the colleagues driving forklifts. She realized forklift-driving is not only a way to diversify her skills and self-development, but also a means to participate in more work assignments proactively and deeply.

邓菽萍原是一名收银员，2018年2月她加入了沃尔沃建筑设备中国运营在上海的大家庭。对于进入物流部门任职的邓菽萍来说，拥有叉车驾驶证并非是一项硬性要求。但每当看见同事们开着叉车进行作业，邓菽萍不禁心生羡慕。她认识到学会开叉车不但可以多元化地发展自己，还可以积极配合公司的工作调配，深度参与更多的工作。

Fueled with motivation despite having no driving experience of forklift or car, Shuping registered for the forklift driving test. As an absolute beginner, she had to continuously practice and review her performance. Finally, under the tutorial guidance, her efforts paid off. Shuping passed the exam on the first try.

于是，她主动地报考了叉车驾驶考试。在此之前，邓菽萍从没有接触过叉车，甚至不会开车，所以方向感较弱。刚开始学习驾驶叉车的时候，零基础的她只能一遍又一遍地练习和复盘。终于，功夫不负有心人，在老师的悉心教导和自己的勤奋努力下，邓菽萍顺利地一次性通过了考试。

Forklift-driving is a work that depends heavily on safety and efficiency, which thus places high demand on the driver to be careful and precise. For the daily forklift-driving work, Shuping thinks: "The most important standard in forklift operations that we must adhere to is ‘safety first’. We also need to remember that ‘the forklift does not run under bad conditions, and the operator does not work when unwell.’ With that as top of mind, forklift operators need to conduct comprehensive daily forklift inspection. Whenever they perceive any risk of abnormity, they need to stop operating immediately and report without any hesitation. "

驾驶叉车是一项极其注重安全和高效的工作，这对驾驶员的细心程度和熟练程度都提出了很高的要求。对于日常的驾驶工作邓菽萍的心得是：“在日常操作的过程中，应始终坚持安全第一的要求，坚持车辆不带病作业、人员不带病作业原则。因此，叉车操作员需要做好每日叉车检查，当发现车辆出现异常的时候需要立刻停止作业，并且及时上报并进行维修。”

Shuping is very glad that she joined the Volvo family and believes that she could not have obtained her forklift driving license without the encouragement and support from her colleagues. Currently, besides her usual scope of work in logistics department, Shuping also drives forklift to help the department with extra operations. In what’s to come for Shuping, she says she would continue to improve her driving skills, contribute to the productivity of the plant and become one of the most valuable employees with multiple skills in the future.

邓菽萍很开心自己加入了沃尔沃这个大家庭，她认为拿到叉车驾驶证，离不开身边同事的鼓励和帮助的良性集体氛围。如今，邓菽萍在做好物流部门的本职工作之余，也会帮部门驾驶叉车做一些自己力所能及的作业。她表示，她将更加努力地练习自己的驾驶技术，坚持以安全驾驶为中心，最大程度协助工厂效率的提高，争取早日成为公司掌握多技能的关键员工。

Besides work, Shuping also places great emphasis on her family and devotes to work-life balance and nice family atmosphere. She strives to fulfil herself and establish a correct outlook on life and values for the 2 kids.

工作之外，邓菽萍对于家庭生活也有着非常清晰的规划，那就是以家庭成员幸福为中心做到工作和生活两不误。她努力在实现自己的社会价值的同时，也为两个孩子树立好正确的人生观和价值观。
